These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Forbinde, including marketplace apps, the operator console at app.forbinde.com, and related APIs (the “Service”). By installing Forbinde, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
1. The Service
Forbinde connects storefronts to shipping and warehouse destinations so merchants can obtain discounted carrier rates where available, purchase shipping labels, optionally send orders to a WMS, and sync tracking back to the store. Features depend on the platforms and destinations you connect and on settings you choose (for example shipping-labels-only vs warehouse fulfillment).
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your workspace and for authorized staff you invite.
- You must be able to lawfully operate a business storefront and connect third-party shipping providers.
3. Marketplace installs and third parties
Storefront platforms (Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce, and others) and destinations (such as LumaSwift) are independent services. Their terms, rates, SLAs, and privacy practices apply to those products. Forbinde is not responsible for carrier delays, destination outages, incorrect merchant-provided addresses or parcel dimensions, or platform policy changes.
You authorize Forbinde to access storefront and destination APIs using the credentials and scopes you grant, and to process order and shipping data as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other customers.
- Do not use Forbinde to violate storefront, carrier, or destination terms, or applicable law.
- Do not submit unlawful, infringing, or deceptive order or shipping content.
- You are responsible for confirming package type, weight, and dimensions before label purchase when required.
5. Fees and billing
Some storefronts (for example Shopify) may require an in-app subscription or trial before orders can send. Carrier and label charges are billed by the shipping destination or carrier according to their pricing — not as Forbinde “shipping markup” unless we expressly state otherwise in a plan. Marketplace listing pricing (free, paid, or custom) will be shown in the relevant app store listing.
6. Intellectual property
Forbinde and its branding, software, and documentation remain our property. You retain ownership of your store data. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free quotes, or that every label or warehouse send will succeed.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORBINDE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID TO FORBINDE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $100 IF YOU PAID NO FEES TO FORBINDE).
9. Termination
You may stop using Forbinde and uninstall marketplace apps at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, abuse, non-payment, or risk to the Service or others. After disconnect or uninstall, access tokens are cleared; operational history may remain until purged or redacted under our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
